Hi everyone!
I hope everyone is enjoying the warm weather and looking forward to a great summer. I regret to announce that I have decided to step down from the Greater Vancouver Japanese Canadian Citizens’ Association due to personal health concerns that will require me to focus on my health issues. It has been a difficult decision but one that was necessary. It has truly been a great pleasure and wonderful experience being part of this community and seeing the support everyone has shown for the Bulletin, the Human Rights Committee, the Nihongo Committee, and all the events we have been able to provide, especially in support of the National Association of Japanese Canadians.
Since coming onto the Board and taking on the presidency, I have had the opportunity to build relationships with many other individuals and organizations both within and outside our community. Our work is far from being finished and I hope to return and once again be part of this wonderful community.
In the meantime, support each other and I will see you soon.
The very best to you all,
Ron Nishimura
President GVJCCA
