サイクリスト安部良さんは2011年（平成23年）に4ヵ月かけて自転車でカナダ横断をした。3年前の3月11日に起きた東日本大震災で多くの国から支援を受けたお礼に顔の見える形で『ありがとう』の気持ちを伝えたい、旅を訪してカナダの人に震災支援への感謝を伝える為に自転車にカナダと日本の国旗を着けた。
